Every year, places come up for election to the Management Committee. This team of volunteers helps to steer and support LCPL in building a sustainable pub and hub that will serve the community.

  • Chat to anyone you know who volunteers, or

  • drop in to say hello at our free drink and information evening on Tuesday 15 September 5-30-7pm in the River Room.

Application for election

If you've already decided you'd like to join the committee, the application process is simple.

To apply to take part in the election for new committee members simply complete and return the Application Form by Monday 21 September

FAQs

How can I find out whether I want to stand? You can find out more about what the committee does by chatting to anyone involved, or coming along to meet us informally on Tuesday 15th September in the River Room. Free drink and nibbles! Our Secretary can put you in touch with current committee members : please email secretary@lcpl.org.uk

How do I throw my hat in the ring? Simply complete and return the Application Form. We will then upload the information onto the voting site so that people can vote for their choice of candidates.

When are the elections? The elections take place online before the Annual Members' Meeting. This year, voting will be during the week to 12 October.

How often does the committee meet? At present, the committee meets once a month in The Plough on a Monday evening, but this is flexible.

Who decides what each committee member will do? The members decide between themselves who is best placed to help with what. Key roles such as Chair and Vice Chair are elected once everyone has had the chance to consider what they wish to do.

What are the committee rules? LCPL Rules govern what the committee can do. You can see them on this website under 'Documents'
